The Secret Place
discovering the Power of God within through the awareness of “I AM”
everything that has manifested in my life rises from the power of what i have decreed on behalf of my own being. all that has been, all that is, and all that is yet to come unfolds from the word i have spoken into my world. i have decreed before, i decree now, and i shall continue to decree, and it is made visible before me. I AM that which i declare myself to be, formed and fulfilled within the stillness of my own consciousness. I AM aware of perfect health within, therefore, I AM the living decree of perfect health made manifest.
all things were created by God, including myself. I AM aware that I AM being — being human, being here, being there, being a lover, a friend, a creator, a worker — whatever it is, I AM, I AM being that. to know that I AM is to know the Power of God within me.

“Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” - Matthew 16:13
i went to church for about two months, and then i stopped going because the teachings in the church did not align with the words written in the Bible. the church focused on teaching that Jesus was God and the only Son of God, without fully understanding what Jesus was truly revealing to his followers. the Bible does not say, “I, Jesus, am the way, the truth, and the life,” nor does it say, “I, Jesus, am the door.” the Bible clearly states, over and over again: “I AM” — “I AM the resurrection and the life.” “I AM” is God. “I AM” is my awareness. and through awareness, a door that no man can shut is opened, through which all manifestations of my life come forth and take form in my world.
my world is a reflection of that which I AM conscious of being. what changed my life was letting go of every belief i had that God was separate from myself. God is not something out there judging me and condemning me. God is within me. God is the reason I AM and how I AM aware that I AM.
“I and My Father are one” - John 10:30
“I said, I AM going to the Father; for My Father is greater than I” - John 14:28
God, my consciousness, is the Father — the Creator and His Creation. the Creator is greater than His Creations, yet remains One with them; therefore, i and my Father are One. when i was born into this world, i became aware that i was now “here,” wherever “here” might be. then i became consciously aware that i was a human being on earth. yet still, I AM the Creator — greater than My Creation, which is me, danielle victor, in human form.
i stopped going to church because i grew tired of arguing with those who could not see that Jesus discovered the Truth and declared Himself to be One with God. i, too, have discovered the Truth — that I AM One with God. i declare this Truth. “the kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘see here!’ or ‘see there!’ for indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” — luke 17:20–21. the kingdom of heaven is within me. my body is the temple that houses the Most High Living God. i can achieve what Jesus achieved if i rise in the levels of my own consciousness. i can ascend when i transcend the limitations of my current perspective of myself, called “danielle victor.”
in consciousness — in the awareness of being — anything is possible; nothing is impossible. “you will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you.” — job 22:28. i know that i must rise in my own level of consciousness to become what i desire or to receive what i desire. when i rise in consciousness to the natural state of being that matches my desire, i draw the manifestation of that desire unto me in my outer world. the Power of God within me — my consciousness — is the Father that draws all manifestations of my life unto me. right now, in this very moment, I AM drawing into my world all that I AM conscious of being.
“most assuredly, i say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” — john 3:3. at many times in my life — at most times in my life — i have not been content with my outer reality. now i know that the only way i can change my outer reality is to withdraw my attention from that which only seems real to me. i must focus my attention on what i do want, NOT on what i don’t want. in other words, i must die to who i currently am — to the state of consciousness that keeps me bound to what i do not desire — so that i may rise in consciousness to that which i long to be.
“no one can serve two masters.” — matthew 6:24. when i shift my attention from the things unwanted to the things wanted, i have died to one and begun to live for the other. to lift my consciousness from its current state and rise to a higher level of awareness is to die to one and live to the other. “who do you say that I AM?” was not a question Jesus asked of others outside himself; it was a question he asked within himself — a parable revealing the discovery of one’s true nature. Jesus could have said, “whom do you say that you are?” so that all might hear the Truth. the belief i hold of myself — my opinion of who i am — will always determine the reality that unfolds in my world.
“do you not believe that I AM in the Father, and the Father in Me? the words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.” — john 14:10. to believe in God means to believe in a Higher Power, Presence, Source. “believe also in me” is to know that this Power is also within me. God is not some Presence outside of me. God is the Divine Power, Essence, and Source that lives inside of me. i used to pray, asking a God i thought was outside of myself for the things i wanted. i have years of prayers that went unanswered, and i blamed God for the failed manifestations of my desires. instead, i must see myself as already having or being all that i desire, because the power to create reality comes from within me — not from an external God that lives outside of me.
praying should never be begging God for what i want. i have been conscious that i had no money and prayed to God begging for money, riches, wealth; but i only ever received what i was conscious of being — a person who had no money. if i desire success, money, riches, and wealth, i don’t pray and beg God, “God, give me money and wealth and turn my failures into success.” that only keeps me stuck in the consciousness of failure, lack, and poverty. instead, i think and speak that I AM wealthy now. money flows to me frequently, abundantly, consistently, and in increasing quantities immediately, for I AM the source of my own supply — and the supply is endless and immediate. I AM successful in all that i do and everywhere i go. every “failure” is a step closer to my Divine success. by doing this, I AM recognizing my own inner Divinity and shaping my reality from within. I AM dying to the version of myself that clung to the consciousness of lack, and I AM rising in consciousness to the natural state of being of someone who is successful, wealthy, rich, and prosperous.
I AM no longer begging for something i don’t have when i pray. I AM decreeing, claiming, and commanding all that i desire as if it is already mine — because it is already mine. i desire to be rich, so i must know that I AM already rich. i desire to be wealthy, so i must know that I AM already wealthy. from this moment on, I AM not focusing on how “poor” i feel or what my situation looks like in my outer reality. I AM ignoring what my eyes and circumstances are telling me, and instead, I AM imagining and feeling myself as wealthy, rich, and successful. “but you, when you pray, go into your room and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place: and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” — matthew 6:6. I AM shutting the door to external influence. I AM no longer praying to something outside of myself. God is in the secret place, and the secret place is my heart. i must go within myself, and there i imagine, believe, and feel all that i desire as if it is already mine in tangible form. my faith in the Power of God within me is how God will rearrange my universe to provide me all that my heart desires.
i now know the Truth: the “Father” is God, which is actually my own awareness of being — my consciousness. the “door” also represents that same awareness. “I AM the door.” so when Jesus told me to “shut the door,” He meant stop focusing on my current reality or situation, and stop paying attention to what i see as real and how i feel. instead, I AM choosing to identify myself with the version of me that already has what i want. my faith in the Power of God within me is also the faith i have in myself. the moment i fully believe, beyond a doubt, that I AM the person i wish to be, that belief begins to reshape my outer world. soon after, my life will start to show visible proof of my inner beliefs.
i cannot be worried about how what i desire will manifest in my outer world; no one actually knows the exact way things will come about. in other words, my physical world — what i can see — doesn’t determine how my desires will show up. it is my consciousness, my inner awareness or state of being, that is the channel through which things appear in my life. in other words, it is God. Jesus said, “I AM the way.” this phrase doesn’t refer to a specific person; it means “I AM” is. the feeling of “I AM,” which is the awareness of my own existence, is the Creative Power that brings my desires into reality. the signs and visible results always come after i believe, not before. nothing has real existence outside of my consciousness, and my consciousness gives meaning to all that i see as real. so if i first create the feeling, belief, or awareness of already having what i desire, then the physical world must eventually reflect that belief.
“but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” — matthew 6:33. what does this mean? it means to focus first on my inner state — my consciousness — not on the external things i desire. in other words, i must feel and believe that the Power of God is within me, and because this Power exists within me, all that i desire already exists within me. i don’t need to chase the physical manifestations themselves; instead, i reconnect with the Presence within me and rise in my level of consciousness to the state where having all that i desire feels natural and true. that is what the Bible verse “you will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you” means. when i firmly decide and believe something inwardly, my outer world inevitably rearranges itself to reflect that belief.
“bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.” — malachi 3:10. God has said, “prove Me and see,” meaning test this for yourself and experience that it works. the story of Mary, the mother of Jesus, is not meant to be taken only as a literal story about a woman giving miraculous birth — it is a symbolic story about every person. “Mary” represents my awareness of being, my inner consciousness, which is always pure and creative. this is what “virgin” means here: to be untouched by outside influence. whenever i have a desire, that desire is like a seed planted within my awareness. when i deeply feel and identify with that desire — becoming one with it in my thoughts and emotions — my awareness “gives birth” to it. in time, that desire appears in my physical world as my new reality.
the Bible says that Mary (who symbolically represents me) “knew no man, yet she conceived.” — luke 1:34. this means that even though i, an ordinary person, may see no logical or visible way for my desire to come true, i can still “conceive” it inwardly through faith. i do not need physical proof or reasoning to believe something is possible. once i recognize that my awareness — my inner consciousness, God — is the true Creative Power, i can unite with that awareness (symbolically, making it my “husband”) and give birth to my desired reality. this is what the Bible means when it says, “for your Maker is your husband, the LORD of hosts is His name.” — isaiah 54:5. this verse reveals that my own creative awareness, my inner “I AM,” is what brings my desires into being. my ideal or goal is the “child” I AM conceiving — the creation growing within me. the first instruction to “Mary,” which also applies to me, is: “see that you tell no one.” — matthew 8:4. in other words, i must keep my desires and dreams sacred within myself. i should not share them with others, because they may doubt or question me, reflecting my own fears back to me and weakening my faith in my belief.
the first rule of bringing my desire into reality is secrecy — i must keep it to myself. i will not speak of my goals or desires until they have become real. the second rule, taken from the story of Mary, is “my soul magnifies the LORD.” — luke 1:46. i know that the LORD means my own awareness of being, so this means i must expand the way i see myself. in other words, i must raise my self-image and imagine myself as already being the person who has what i desire. i must continue thinking and feeling from my new identity until it feels completely natural to me. when it finally feels natural — when i truly believe that this new version of myself is who I AM — that is when my desire is “born.” my outer life begins to reflect what i have accepted as true within my own consciousness.
i now understand that everything begins and ends within my own consciousness. God, the Father within me, is the awareness through which all things are made. I AM the vessel through which the unseen becomes seen, the invisible becomes visible. i no longer look outside of myself for power, love, or fulfillment, because the Power that creates worlds lives within me as my very own “I AM.” I AM the thinker, the believer, the feeler, and the creator of my reality. every desire is a divine seed planted within the fertile soil of my awareness, and when i nurture it with faith, imagination, and love, it must grow and take form in my world. i live now in the knowing that i and my Father are truly One — and because of this, all things are possible to me.
